5/5 Streets of Rage 4 is an amazing game. I haven’t played all belt-scrollers in existence, but I can make a calculated guess and say this is the best belt-scroller ever made. There are too many games in this genre anyway, and they all pretty much play exactly the same. I am sure there wasContinue reading “Streets of Rage 4 (2020)”

Back to the Age of Empires
I’m back to playing Age of Empires II, after over two years of not playing it. I stopped playing it back then because I got bored of playing it in the multiplayer mode. The game lost its magic after I spent hundreds of hours playing it in multiplayer mode and as my friends’ skill levels keptContinue reading “Back to the Age of Empires”
Why I Keep Writing
Why do I still bother writing? I could have stopped doing it after I completed the first volume of this book, since there was already enough content there, in my view, to leave a mark and basically tell the world, “This is who I am”. I still do it because it’s still fun for me.Continue reading “Why I Keep Writing”
The Limits of My Abilities
I’ve been thinking about testing the limits of my abilities. The one thing I believe I’m lacking is an advanced degree. I do believe this blog and my writing prove that, at the very least, I am above average, as far as intelligence goes. I also believe that if I put my mind to it,Continue reading “The Limits of My Abilities”
On Using AI in the Arts
Aleksi Sahala: “A few words about generative AI (Warning-O-Wall-O-Text). Lately I have been playing with text-to-image and image-to-video models and created a few more or less goofy background videos for my music, mostly because it’s fun, but as a positive side note, it seems to positively affect people’s attention when it comes to watching musicContinue reading “On Using AI in the Arts”
Writing as Sacrifice
I would be living a far more tranquil life if I had never written an aphorism or opinion. Every writer sacrifices himself a little with every piece of text he writes.
Uchiha Itachi
I read the Naruto manga but neglected the anime because I thought the anime was too slow-paced and annoying (every character has a million flashbacks and likes talking forever), though it does have its moments. And besides, I’m not a huge anime fan, anyway. But one character that I loved in the story was UchihaContinue reading “Uchiha Itachi”
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City — The Definitive Edition (2021)
5/5 Aside from the occasional bugs, I had no problems with this Definitive Edition. The new classic lighting update is great (and looks great). A good thing about this edition is that the shooting mechanics are better than in the original, and you can change the controls, though I played with the classic control scheme.Continue reading “Grand Theft Auto: Vice City — The Definitive Edition (2021)”
A Great DMC Essay
Last night I discovered an amazing Devil May Cry essay written by AlexxShadenk, titled “I think a big part of why I like DMC 5 better than 4/4SE is because of how the characters are better balanced in the latest game”. The essay starts with the quote seen in the title and then Alexx proceedsContinue reading “A Great DMC Essay”
Devil May Cry 5: Vergil DLC (2020)
5/5 Playing DMC5 with Vergil makes the game much better. No longer forced to play with V, you can relax and enjoy the full game with an awesome character that plays perfectly. This was the first time I’ve ever played with Vergil in any DMC, and I loved it. Vergil’s moves are impressive and lookContinue reading “Devil May Cry 5: Vergil DLC (2020)”
